GDKP came from Aion Online, which used this system as a normal loot method. The principle behind the loot system is that
People Bid Gold on items
All gold is put into a pot
Pot is shared between all raid at end
This system is great, as it gives people a extra incentive to raid evan if they dont need any loot. Additionally rewards people for staying the entire run. Here are the rules for GDKP in my runs.
1. All items (Including BOE's, enchant mats, Orbs) that drop will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the gold pot will be split evenly 25 ways at the end of the run.
2. Raid members will only receive their share of the gold pot if they are present in the raid when the raid ends, no exceptions.
3. In the event a player is AFK for an extended period without notice - or performs poorly - a fair first warning will be given, but they may be removed from the raid and/or forfeit their share of the pot if it continues.
4. All Auctions and Bids will be in public raid chat. Items will have minimum bids, but no maximum bid. No private tells for bids are accepted. No loot is reserved. There is no extra loot/gold for the raid leader.
5. All bids, and gold, is tracked by an addon, so no spam or talk when bids are being undertaken. Addon used is GoldRaidManager, look it up on curse for more information.
6. Abuse to other raid members is not tolerated, and vent chatter must be kept civil at all times.

5400GS Min - I hate GS however i do find that this is a good GS to be at. Indicates that you have spent the time running heroics to have a mean gear ilvl of 254+.
Flasks - Expect every raider to be flasked - Lowerspire onwards.
Vent - Vent will be run, and its vital you have headset, microphone is nice, but not needed.

Our spots are getting more limited as times goes on, we are building a nice collection of geared alts and people who cant make their raid days. I keep a rank system to keep track of all pugs that raid with me. I send in game mails to each person following a raid to let them know their current pug rank. People with higher ranks will get priority over lower or untested pugs.
